How to Catch Up?

Today is my unofficial last day of summer vacation :(. Tomorrow is my first day putting together my classroom, and my official first day of work is Monday. Seriously, how did that happen?

I have so, so much (actually pretty much everything from this summer) that I haven't even had time to share yet. So, here's everything that's happened, in one quick post. The goal will be eventually doing real blogging about all of these special events, while still keeping up with day to day life. We'll see how that goes :).

This was my summer:

Seeing Ed walk at his graduation and celebrating his PhD

Visiting San Francisco one last time

Backpacking 30 miles on Skyline to the Sea

Having dinner with friends at Frank Lloyd Wright's Hanna House

Celebrating our 2nd Anniversary on Mt. Tam, revisiting the spot where Ed proposed and our wedding site, and staying at Mountain Home Inn

Saying goodbye to our apartment complex and the bay area

Having some quick family time in Mission Viejo, on our way to Arizona

Arriving at our new home!

Having great family time with brother-in-law Tom and his (new!) fiancé, Irma

Putting together furniture

All our things arriving in the moving van!

Exploring Arizona (at ASU) with parents

Celebrating the 4th of July at home

Visiting Flagstaff to get some cooler weather (and thunderstorms!)

Quick bay area layover, with a visit to Santa Cruz

A wonderful week in Kauai

Whew, it's been busy, and it doesn't seem to be getting any calmer :). Fingers crossed I can give the full story for some of these events soon!

  1. You have packed a lot into one summer!

I can't believe that it is back to school time. Good luck with your classroom and I hope you love your new school.
